The Upchurch Kids used mom and dad’s $20 plus $10 from the Barth family. They were able to convince the dynamic and remarkably friendly owners of Bottle and Bean (in Heritage-part of Dinners at Home) to allow them to buy $30 worth of their exclusive coffee at the wholesale cost. The coffee is special as it is not available in grocery stores. We especially loved the name of one of the varieties-HeavenScent. The kids repackaged the coffee into small ‘one pot’ bags and sold them for $3 each. The amount of coffee provided was well above what the kids had expected and they quickly raised about $81 in just a few days.
